Partners of the Interreg MED Urban Green Leap project came together for the very first meeting to join forces on nature-based solutions that will help small and medium-sized towns adapt to climate change.
On the first day of the meeting, our host Ambiente Italia inspired us with two great examples – a vibrant green wall and a newly created public park. This was followed with intensive workshops on key project concepts and activities to come. In the following hours and on the second day partners:
- exchanged ideas on first project activities,
- explored the baseline study draft,
- shaped the communication strategy and
- discussed the cities’ future investment ambitions.
We are excited to follow the development of nature-based solutions that will be developed and implemented by our pilot cities:
- Municipality of Celje (SI)
- Municipality of Suzzara (IT)
- Municipality of Varaždin (HR)
- Municipality of Ioannina (EL)
- Municipality of Budva (ME)
- Municipality of Gjorče Petrov (MK)
With the support of our knowledge providers:
- CREAF (ES),
- IPoP – Institute for Spatial Policies (SI)
- Ambiente Italia S.r.l. (IT)
- Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology (HR)
… and partners: Scientific Research Centre Bistra Ptuj (SI), Parkovi d.o.o. (HR), Comune Oltrepò Mantovano (IT).
We look forward to continuing our joint efforts towards a more resilient, green, and inclusive urban future!
