UrbanGreenLeap project video

03/02/2026

This video presents UrbanGreenLeap, a collaborative project supporting Mediterranean towns in responding to rising urban temperatures, sudden floods and the loss of green spaces and biodiversity. It highlights how six pilot towns work together with local communities, experts and international partners to plan and implement nature-based solutions that make cities cooler, safer and more resilient.

This project video shows how communities, local authorities and partners from different countries work together to plan and implement nature-based solutions—cooling streets, managing rainwater and strengthening urban biodiversity. By co-designing actions with citizens, towns and cities can reconnect with urban nature and create more meaningful, lasting change.

The UrbanGreenLeap project supports communities of 6 pilot cities (Celje (SI), Gjorče Petrov (MK), Ioannina (EL), Budva (ME), Varaždin (HR) and Suzzara (IT)), on their journey toward greener, cooler and more resilient urban living spaces.
